Job Description:

The Information Desk Administrator is responsible for staffing Information Desk in the Kent Campus Center. Supervise work study employees. Provide outstanding customer service to varied constituents. Provide support for the Conferences & Events program. This is a full-time, regular, 12-month, non-exempt position, with some evening and weekend duties and the ability for some flexible scheduling.

* The functions listed are essential to the position, however, this is not a complete list of all responsibilities

* Manage Information Desk and all accompanying customer service for Kent Campus Center, including tech support for events in Hubbell Hall, Black Box, and other meetings rooms in Kent. Assist with set-ups as needed.

* Review schedule of events each day to know where events will be located.

* Appropriately answer questions about campus community and events.

* Perform administrative duties including data entry, computer work, filing, telephones, and scheduling.

* Manage scheduler system. Entering room request and communicating with campus constituent with approval or alternate room assignments.

* Assist with retail operations (Spirit Shop, Mailroom or Print shop as needed.

* Assist with budget and reconciliation tasks related to budgets/purchases as needed.

* Strong written and oral communication skills along with ability to effectively deal with a variety students, staff and faculty

* Ability to make decisions and solve problem

* Good Organizational and have good scheduling skill

* Proficient in the use of e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software and use of the Internet to access data, maintain records, generate reports, and communicate with others.

* Demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse population; maintain cooperative working relationships.

* The ability to pay close attention to detail and produce high quality work

* Ability to work independently

* The employee is required to sit for long periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.

* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, texture perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
