- The Information Security Architect I will design, develop, and implement a comprehensive information security technical architecture. This role will manage MVW's security tool portfolio include technical, operational, and budgetary considerations. The Architect will work with other security leads to assist in new tool identification, evaluation, and selection.
- The position will participate on security projects, designing, configuring, and implementing new security technologies. It is also responsible for participating on other IT projects where security subject matter expertise is required.

Specific Expected Contributions
- Maintain security architecture from the high-level design to the production implementation of secure enterprise information systems.
- Maintain security architecture documentation, including architecture frameworks, design patterns, logical and physical diagrams, and standards.
- Ensure security tools and processes are fully integrated with our IT infrastructure platforms.
- Work collaboratively with infrastructure project teams to identify, define, develop, and implement techniques to improve security posture and minimize security risks.
- Identify and communicate current and emerging security requirements and design security architecture elements and controls to meet new requirements as they emerge.
- Determine and publish estimations and security requirements for technology projects
- Evaluate IT technologies to ensure that MVW adheres to company policy and industry security standards.
- Stay current on modern application platforms and security concepts such as cloud, micro-service architectures, and zero trust.
- Enhance Security team capabilities by mentoring more junior team members

- Generally a professional position with specific knowledge in a discipline (e.g., Accounting, Human Resources, Information Resources).
- College degree and/or relevant experience typically required.
Specific Candidate Profile Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Master's degree in information security or related discipline preferred.
Related Work Experience
- Ten years of progressive experience in Information Technology discipline.
- Eight years of experience in information security.
- Four years of experience in a security engineering or architecture role.
- Experience supporting large-scale technology platforms preferred.
- Experience implementing complex security solutions.
- Hands-on experience with IT infrastructure technologies such as networking, servers, databases, or similar.
