SSO is committed to a diverse workforce, which is a reflection of our clients and the people they serve.Information Security Specialist – Albany, NY OQPS 1010 This role requires a minimum of 50% onsite work.SummaryThe incumbent will be part of a professional information security team and be responsible for supporting efforts to improve security and privacy protection within the Center for Health Data Innovation.The Center is responsible for multiple systems in support of assessing and analyzing the healthcare ecosystem in New York State. These systems include the states All Payer Database, SPARCS, Data Quality solutions, Master Data Management solutions, Provider Directory, and more.This position offers the opportunity to develop and implement new information security technologies and methods in a rapidly moving environment. The incumbent will work closely with all levels of technical, security, and management staff.The incumbent will be responsible for:Performing access management tasks and auditsAssisting with risk assessments, data classification and identity assuranceDeveloping and implementing data access control process and proceduresMonitoring and responding to potential security eventsHandling incident response vulnerability management tasksQualifications:Understanding of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) security and privacy requirements.Experience implementing NIST 800-53 controls.Knowledge of NIST 800-30 style risk assessments.Knowledge of Health Information Trust Alliance (HITRUST) certification.Knowledge of the NIST CSF.Excellent communication and writing skills.Compensation for roles at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
