If so, then come join a data-driven team focused on implementing best practices and methodologies to support the business.THE OPPORTUNITYReporting to the IT Director, the Information Services Technician will:
  • Provide experienced technical support to end users on the factory floor, addressing issues related to desktops, mobile devices, walkie-talkies, and communication tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve general electronic issues, such as power concerns, phone system problems, and other non-production-related hardware needs.
  • Ensure the adherence to cybersecurity best practices, assisting users with security protocols and overall system protection.
  • Educate and train users on effective and secure use of technology, providing troubleshooting and guidance as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of IT to support the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the ERP platform, IFS Cloud, and other upcoming technology systems.
  • Lead and support technology-related projects with a focus on project management, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and outcomes are met.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of technical support efforts, project progress, and user training materials.
  • Demonstrate strong follow-up skills, addressing user needs and resolving technical issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Continuously develop technical knowledge, staying up to date with the latest trends in IT, cybersecurity, and data-driven software solutions.
THE QUALIFICATIONSThe right candidate will have a solid technical background while being able to collaborate with and educate people. Your credentials ideally include:
  • Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field OR 5+ years of experience in IT support.
  • Applicants with certifications and a strong technical background will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting users across a variety of platforms, including desktops, mobile devices, and communication tools, within a manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting general electronics, including power issues, phone systems, and other non-production-related hardware.
  • Strong project management mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of data-driven software and its application within a manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring efficient tracking of technical issues and project progress.
  • Critical thinking skills with a proactive approach to solving complex technical problems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in translating technical information for non-technical users.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth in the IT field.
  • Certifications preferred but not required:
  • CompTIA A+
  • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or other relevant cybersecurity certifications.
