Nightwing is seeking a fully cleared Information Systems Administrator

Nightwing is seeking a highly motivated Information Systems Administrator (SA) to join a small team in a dynamic, mission focused environment, supporting multiple small to medium mixed Windows/Linux environments and networks. The SA will install, configure, and maintain servers, storage systems, computers, software and network infrastructure, and manage user accounts. The SA will monitor and tune server/client system performance, install system wide software and upgrades, and allocate storage space. The candidate will install, configure and maintain network devices (e.g. routers, switches, firewalls) and cabling, in addition to maintaining and configuring on premises virtual infrastructures. The candidate will provide desktop support to local users, and process and maintain inventory. The candidate will collaborate on a wide range of issues including secure architectures, secure electronic data traffic, network security, information security and privacy, and will coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment. The candidate will also have opportunities to participate in cybersecurity engineering efforts and maintain continuous monitoring systems.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

TS/SCI with Polygraph

Minimum two years IT experience including at least one year of experience administering Microsoft Windows server or Windows desktop operating systems

Experience with Linux operating systems (e.g. Ubuntu, RHEL, Rocky)

Experience with maintenance and troubleshooting on small to medium-sized network

Solid understanding of network and information security practices

Familiarity with Network Attached Storage (NAS) or Storage Area Networks (SANs)

Experience creating, maintaining, and updating network documentation, diagrams, and security documentation

Competency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Desired Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of virtualization platforms and technologies (VMware)

Experience with SQL or shell scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell, Python, Perl, etc.)

Microsoft SQL Server database administration

Experience with iSCSI and Fibre Channel Storage Area Networks (SANs)

Cisco network device administration (e.g. ISRs, Catalyst switches, NGFW, etc.)

Competency with Microsoft Visio

Experience administering Microsoft SCCM, WDS and WSUS severs

Professional certification(s) (CompTIA, Cisco, VMware, Microsoft, etc.) to compliment experience

Experience with Communications Security (COMSEC)

Familiarity with RF technologies, including cellular and Wi-Fi

Required Education and Experience:

BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar field of study. Equivalent work experience may be considered in place of degree.

Minimum of two years applicable work experience

The salary range for this role is 70,000 USD - 142,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
