And submit proof of identity and employment eligibility.Job DescriptionThe Data & Business Analyst in the Performance & Innovation Department plays a crucial role in supporting innovation projects and improving processes to enhance digital customer experiences. This position will assist project managers, act as a budget assistant for current projects, and provide support for process improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and evaluate data across various departments to identify cost-effective business practices and improvements (25%).
  • Act as a budget assistant for current projects, ensuring adherence to project budgets, tracking governmental expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities (20%).
  • Lead data collection, migration, and validation efforts, maintaining security and integrity of data (10%).
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of forms on the Open Forms platform, ensuring proper security and data governance (10%).
  • Support process mapping and process improvement efforts (15%).
  • Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of past projects, providing insights for future improvements (10%).
  • Identify opportunities to fully leverage UG's data assets to enhance operational capabilities and community access (10%).

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to evaluate complex data and drive improvements.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience or interest in improving digital customer experiences and enhancing operational capabilities.
  • Experience in governmental budget tracking, managing expenses, and ensuring financial adherence to project budgets.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex data to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Willingness to support process improvements and drive change within a collaborative environment.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and three years of programming, system analysis, or work experience related to area of assignment or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. School and relevant work experience in areas such as digital customer experience, data analysis, business improvements, or governmental budget tracking. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting is preferred. Ideal Candidate with experience in working with digital technologies and improving customer-facing processes, with a focus on enhancing user experiences and experience in tracking governmental budgets and expenses.Part-Time A position (20-39 hours/week) with eligibility for health, dental, retirement, and leave benefits.Salary Range:$26.74-$35.76/hr.The Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kansas is an Equal Opportunity Employer and values diversity in its workforce.
