Job Description:

Job Type Full-time Description GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Responsible for providing initial support and coordination with 3rd party resources for the secure, effective, and reliable operation of all computer systems, related applications, hardware, and software used in the business. Assist with the design, management, monitoring, installation, and maintenance of the various hardware and software in use. Provide training and troubleshooting as necessary. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Manages hardware and software installations, maintenance and upgrades.
    • Set up computers, accounts/logins/access controls, email accounts, phones, etc.
    • Maintain a current inventory of all information system equipment and applications
    • Manage license renewals and upgrades
    • Support secure network access for remote users.
  • Coordinate activities of information systems consultants with the business.
  • Assist in maintaining information system security by ensuring firewalls, security applications and network security infrastructure are operating appropriately.
  • Assesses information systems results by auditing their applications and results.
  • Participates in planning and designing technologies and selecting appropriate hardware and software to meet the needs of the business.
  • Safeguard assets by participating in the planning and implementation of disaster recovery and backup procedures and information security and control structures.
  • Ensure information systems are streamlined and operating properly.
  • Provide information system user training, support, advice and feedback. Create information system user manuals, generate related training, and provide resource materials.
  • Maintains up-to-date expertise in operating and applying standard computer software and a working knowledge of a wide variety of commonly used hardware and software.
  • Coordinate the business's cyber security program activities by assisting with the following:
    • Institution of organization-wide training in security awareness, protocols, and procedures.
    • Responding immediately to security-related incidents and providing a thorough post-event analysis.
    • Establish, document, and monitor the business cyber security program implementation plan and ensure compliance with DoD policies.
  • Support the business and facility security officer to ensure compliance with NISPOM.
This position is a 100% on-site position. Requirements EDUCATION:
  • Position requires an AA/AS degree in computer related field.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Two years relevant experience.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Excellent research skills and the ability to interpret analytical data to assess, improve, troubleshoot and correct information systems.
  • Solid knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under minimal supervision with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proficient in information systems and security terminology.
  • Strong organizational and office technology skills.
  • Broad knowledge of the techniques and procedures of software and network support for multiple users.
  • Understand installation, configuration and troubleshooting processes for software, hardware, networking and accessory equipment.
  • Solid knowledge of personal computer equipment.
  • Strong communication and training skills and able to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
  • Possess a working knowledge of cyber security policies and technical cyber security protection measures.
  • Understand the concepts of effective cybersecurity awareness activities to influence human behavior as well as understand the criticality of regular cybersecurity training for individuals.
  • Must be able to hold a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must successfully complete various DCSA training, including ISSM RMF.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: General Safety Quality Management Systems Awareness DCSA ISSM RMF Training Software Program and Systems Updates PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Depending on the assignment, may require the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10 - 50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information.
