IT Systems Analyst/Administrator
Location: Wayne, NJ
Schedule: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Type: Contract (potential for direct hire)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated IT Systems Analyst/Administrator to join our team. This individual will support both operations and administrative staff, focusing on maintaining desktop and server systems, supporting networks, and ensuring smooth IT operations in a manufacturing and corporate environment. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills, with the ability to problem-solve independently and work effectively in ambiguous situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Administration: Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers, including hardware, operating systems, and virtual environments.
- User Support: Provide help desk support, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and manage user accounts (Active Directory and group administration).
- Network and Security: Oversee network hardware, backups, and patching. Implement and monitor security measures, including remediation of vulnerability scans.
- Documentation and Process Management: Develop and maintain technical documentation, create shell scripts, and streamline IT processes.
- Manufacturing Support: Provide technical support for manufacturing OT environments, including CAD and MES applications.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with internal customers, engineers, and global IT teams to address IT needs promptly.

Technical Requirements:
- Expert-level experience with Windows Server (2016 or greater) and VMware ESXi (7 or higher)
- Proficiency in Linux administration and command-line scripting (Red Hat or similar distributions)
- Hands-on experience with backup solutions like Veeam or Veritas
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, SQL Server, and Exchange
- Familiarity with networking technologies (VLANs, Cisco IOS, firewall setup, etc.)
Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of IT experience, preferably in manufacturing environments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Certifications such as MCSE or CompTIA Server+ are a plus
