- Manage City Databases: Oversee the planning, design, integration, and maintenance of city databases for systems including permitting, payroll, utility billing, and recreation.
- Lead Application Administration: Administer, secure, and maintain various critical applications, coordinating updates and managing backups to ensure continuous operations.
- Supervise and Mentor Team Members: Provide guidance, performance evaluation, and training to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Support and Troubleshoot: Respond to escalations and alerts related to database and application issues, managing configurations and minimizing downtime.
- Collaborate Across Departments: Work with other IT Leads to assess needs, recommend improvements, and integrate new applications into existing systems, directly impacting city services and community support.

Ideal Candidate:The ideal candidate brings:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred; associate degree with relevant experience considered.
- 4+ years in IT with experience in database administration, management, and SQL query creation.
- Proficiency with technical programming (.NET, Visual Basic, HTML, XML) and database systems (Microsoft SQL Server).
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective team leadership and cross-departmental collaboration.
