These efforts have fostered social well-being among our most vulnerable populations: children, the elderly, the ill, handicapped, new immigrants, refugees and the unemployed. Our unique professional experience in working with Asian Americans has led to the expansion of services citywide.

The IT Director will be responsible for overseeing and managing the technical infrastructure, support, and operations for Hamilton-Madison House. The primary objective will be to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of all technical systems and processes, and to drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness. The Director will lead a team of technical professionals collaborating with cross-functional departments, and will build relationships with internal teams and external vendors to align technical operations with overall business objectives for our internal structures. This position requires some travel to other work sites and supervising off-site team members.

Responsibilities:

    • Educate staff and explain IT concepts and requirements in an easy-to-understand way.
    • Oversee operations, lead teams, and implement best practices to contribute to the success of the organization and its technological capabilities.
    • Ensure the reliability and efficiency of the organization's technical infrastructure.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a team of technical professionals, providing guidance and support in their career development. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, promoting knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration.
    • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address performance issues in a timely manner.

    • Develop and implement strategies for the design, deployment, and maintenance of technical infrastructure, including but not limited to networks, Windows servers, Symantec Security programs, storage systems, Microsoft platforms (Office 365, SharePoint, OneDrive), cloud platforms, and security camera systems.
  • Vendor and Budget Management:
    • Evaluate and select vendors and service providers and manage vendor relationships to ensure effective delivery of technical services.
    • Develop and manage the technical operations budget, tracking expenditures, and identifying cost optimization opportunities.
  • Compliance and Security:
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices in data privacy, security, and disaster recovery.
    • Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect the organization's technical infrastructure and sensitive information.
    • Train and monitor to prevent phishing and hacking attacks.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field required.
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in technical operations, infrastructure management, or a similar role.
    • Strong knowledge of Windows servers, digital cloud phone systems, data center operations, and IT security.
    • Experience with virtualization technologies, enterprise storage systems, and network protocols.
