Job Description:
IT Director We have an immediate opening for an IT Director Hours are 8 am – 5 pm, Monday thru Friday. The Director of Information Technology will establish, plan and administer the overall policies and goals for the information technology department. They will analyze the needs of different departments and determine ways to meet business objectives by modifying existing or developing new information processing systems. The Director of IT will manage the research and selection of IT equipment, applications and supplies. Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization. Essential Responsibilities: Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems including telephones, software applications, ERP systems and peripherals. Provide expertise and support during upgrades, installations, conversions and file maintenance. Manage telecommunications infrastructure and development plans, projects, policies and procedures. Analyze complex business needs presented by the user and/or customers and recommends technical solutions. Manage IT staff, including hiring, training, evaluation, guidance, discipline and discharge. Develop the IT staff to meet the changing needs of users, groups; new projects and technologies and varying staff strengths. Ensure systems development and enhancements are integrated with existing systems. Develop standard operating procedures and best practices, including providing written protocols and guidance to IT staff and to end-users. Oversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services. Work with staff to enhance services, improve user effectiveness, and foster innovation. Occasionally travel to other facilities in and outside of the United States. Keep current with latest technologies and determine what new technology solutions and implementations will meet business and system requirements. Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements. Communicate regularly with executive management and all users of information services and systems. Essential Skills: The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent education and experience, along with advanced technical or managerial credentials preferred. 10 or more years of progressive IT experience in a multi-office environment. Technical Capability, Business Acumen, Strategic Thinking, Customer/Client Focus and Leadership Highly proficient in oral and written communication. Comfortable presenting in front of others. Ability to effectively manage all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.
