IT Infrastructure Engineer
On-Site: Grand Rapids, MI
Full-Time: 40 Hours
This position is fully On-Site at our Grand Rapids location.
Holland Home, one of West Michigan's leading senior services organizations, has a rare opportunity for an On-Site, Full-Time IT Infrastructure Engineer. This individual will work as a key team member and support our multi-company organization through previous experience and knowledge.
Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, can work with minimal supervision, and is able to adapt to a variety of support situations. This position will be engaged in a complex IT infrastructure, including industry-specific software applications and the use of technology-enabled solutions.
Job Duties:
- Implement, manage, and support our Cisco Meraki network infrastructure over 4 locations.
- Manage VMWare virtual environment with over 75 virtual machines.
- Assist in the research, design, and development of our Microsoft Office 365 Azure environment.
- Monitor overall network and voice performance.
- Participate in strategic planning process for acquiring Infrastructure technology.
- Maintain network security and ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
- Assist in the evaluation of hardware and software, including providers for network & voice, and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.
- Participate in projects as required, including potential new/acquired facility planning.
- Participate in the on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering (electronic or communications), or related field; or in lieu of degree, a minimum of 4 years of experience in networking and related infrastructure.
- Knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies and routing protocols.
- Knowledge of network security standards and implementation of network segmentation.
- Knowledge of wireless technologies.
- Knowledge of virtual environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Meraki networking equipment.
- Experience with VMware vSphere.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud computing.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Strong project management skills.

- 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
