Title: IT Infrastructure Engineer – Security

Job Summary:

As an IT Infrastructure Engineer – Security, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our organization's network infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network security measures to safeguard our sensitive information and prevent unauthorized access. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve security vulnerabilities and incidents.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage network security protocols and measures.
  • Design, implement, and maintain our internal network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, wireless networks, and VPN.
  • Monitor network activity to identify and respond to potential security threats and attacks.
  • Configure and maintain firewalls, routers, and other security devices.
  • Conduct security assessments and penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Implement and maintain encryption technologies to protect data in transit.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to network security procedures and protocols.
  • Provide guidance and support to other IT personnel on security best practices.
  • Participate and lead strategic network planning, tactical operation planning, and the development of contingency operation plans to ensure business continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Plan, manage, implement and support all technologies the organization uses and will utilize to monitor and report on network performance and reliability.
  • Prepare status reports on network and network health.
  • Provide technical leadership on network problems and outage resolution.
  • Manage the operational uptime of all network and ancillary equipment to ensure the QoS and SLA adherence.
  • Participate in Reason for Outage (RFO) and Post-Mortem (PM) documentation as it relates to network incidents.
  • Oversee the development and execution of Method of Procedures (MOPs) to implement and control changes to the client Broadband network.
  • Provide support to engineering, field operations and customer operations through remote monitoring and surveillance.
  • Provisioning, maintenance and management of the surveillance monitoring system and database.
  • Assist in managing the operational uptime of all switches, facilities, and ancillary equipment to ensure QoS and SLA adherence
  • Develop and implement standards, procedures, and processes for the Network Operations group with respect to network surveillance and alarm response.
  • Design, develop, document, and implement surveillance flow processes.
  • Help develop and lead network initiatives.
  • Assist with the recruitment of additional personnel.

Education/Experience:
