POSITION SUMMARY
The IT Manager will lead our clients IT operations, ensuring all staff have the necessary technology tools and support to excel within their role. This role will oversee the help desk team, IT specialists, and vendors while managing a robust infrastructure and prioritizing security, efficiency, and innovation. This position is critical to ensuring team member support tickets are treated with the highest urgency, fostering a technology environment where people feel supported and empowered.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Ensure that IT support tickets from staff are prioritized and resolved promptly, maintaining a high level of service and responsiveness.
- Develop and execute IT strategies that align with the organization's goals, ensuring our technology scales with our growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Staff-Focused IT Support:
- Build processes and systems that track, report, and improve ticket resolution times, ensuring continuous improvement.
Infrastructure Leadership:
- Oversee IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, Wi-Fi systems, and endpoint devices, to maintain seamless operations.
- Optimize our Unifi Wi-Fi infrastructure, ensuring reliable and secure connectivity across all locations.
- Manage and maintain Fortinet security solutions, safeguarding our network with best-in-class firewalls, VPNs, and monitoring tools.
- Provide expert oversight of Apple infrastructure, including macOS, iOS devices, Apple Business Manager, and MDM solutions.
Team and Vendor Management:
- Lead and mentor the help desk team and IT specialists, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring they meet SLAs and align with organizational goals.
- Work collaboratively across departments to deliver IT solutions that enable operational success.
Strategic IT Planning:
- Plan and manage the IT budget, making strategic investments in technology to support the business.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and automation to improve operational efficiency.
Security and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and data privacy regulations.
- Manage antivirus and endpoint protection solutions, proactively mitigating risks.
Operational Excellence:
- Monitor and improve system performance, identifying and resolving potential issues before they impact staff.
- Ensure business continuity through robust disaster recovery and backup strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS
● Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience.
● 5+ years of IT management experience, with a focus on supporting staff and managing infrastructure.
● Expertise in Fortinet security solutions, Unifi Wi-Fi systems, and Apple infrastructure management.
● Proficiency in managing help desk operations and leading IT teams.
● Familiarity with antivirus software and cybersecurity best practices.
● Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to providing exceptional service to internal stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Certifications in Fortinet NSE, CompTIA Security+, or Apple IT Professional programs.
● Experience implementing ERP, CRM, or other enterprise systems.
● Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
