The role of Project Manager II will drive all aspects of Information Technology (IT) projects and programs, including configuration management, change management, release management, collaborating and coordinating across IT and business segments for our customers. This role defines project value proposition, scope, work plan, resource needs, timeline and budget for customer IT projects. The right candidate will manage resources (i.e., capital requirements and human capital, etc.) to complete project/program on time and within budget while keeping team and leadership updated on project status and risk factors. Acting as project team leader, the project manager role will review user and/or technical requirements, identifies tasks, assigns and coordinates resources and creates/tracks project schedules, changes and releases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages multiple projects, typically in single functional area or a single moderately complex project
- Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations for process improvements and / or application reliability management
- Ensures consistency and adherence to Cloud Ingenuity and our customers standards, processes, and policies for all projects
- Manages all aspects of the project execution including: chartering, scope definition, requirements gathering, project planning, change control, risk management and reporting
- Facilitates and manages resource planning, cost estimation, budget development and cost control
- Manages the identification, resolution and escalation of project risks and issues
- Plans and executes project communications ensuring timely and accurate distribution of information, documentation, and issue resolution to all appropriate team members
- Engagement with customers in a consulting environment from CIO level to PM and associated Engineer level resources
Requirements
- 3+ year of Project Management experience preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelors Degree in MIS, Computer Science or equivalent work experience strongly preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills desired
- ITIL experience a plus
- Some regional travel required to customer sites
