Our client, a computer service organization, is seeking an IT Systems Technician to join their team!
Roles and Responsibilities
The IT Systems Technician will report to the Service Delivery Manager. Daily responsibilities will include:
Entry of time and expense data into the Professional Services Automation (PSA) system
Entry of all work-related tasks and schedule into the PSA system
Complete regular training of line-of-business systems used internally and on client networks
Setup and configuration of client equipment including workstations, network switches, wireless devices and firewalls
Maintain client inventory and documentation in the PSA and documentation systems
Assist in data entry, data export and reporting via the PSA and documentation systems
Maintain excellent written and verbal communications befitting a client-focused organization
On-Call rotation with hours of 5pm ET to 10pm ET during weekdays and 9am ET to 9pm ET on weekends
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Education/experience in technologies including, Microsoft Office 365, Azure Active Directory, Intune, computer hardware and basic networking
Education/experience with VMware ESX, SonicWall, Unifi, Dell Networking, and RMM are a plus
Working knowledge of desktop hardware and peripherals, desktop applications, operating systems, and networking devices
Understanding of the OSI Model and how to troubleshoot the different layers
Work well in a team-oriented environment and independently, in a fast-paced setting
Diagnosing and resolving problems
Active listening skills, excellent communication, situational awareness, and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow within our organization
A desire to grow within the Cybersecurity field
Qualifications and Education Preferences
Associate of Applied Science program in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent from an accredited institution or equivalent technology industry experience
CompTIA or MCSA certification preferred
Two years relevant work experience
Travel Requirements
As applicable, a valid State of New York driver's license and access to a working/insured automobile is necessary to handle occasional visits to customer locations
