Job Summary
Reports to: IT End Support Manager (France)
Employment Status: Exempt
The IT Support Technician position is an in-office role based out of Prosperity, South Carolina. The IT Support Technician is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end users for hardware, software, and network related issues. This role involves troubleshooting technical problems, offering solutions, and ensuring the overall functionality of IT systems within the organization. The IT Support Technician will work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations of SWM International's IT infrastructure and assist with implementing new technologies. The IT Technician will also be involved in industrial IT projects for the Prosperity site around 30% of the time, such as Braincube M4.0 projects
Principal Responsibilities:
- Provide IT support (as Level 1) to end users located in the United States (3 sites currently).
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates and system backups to ensure the security and stability of IT systems.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, email systems, network connectivity and other peripherals in a timely manner.
- Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, and access levels to various systems and applications within our organization.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of all support request, resolutions, and any system changes, adhering to the organizations IT protocols.
- System Administrator for managing Braincube application.
- Maintain Global asset management.
- Order, Setup and Maintain IT Equipment (Laptop, Desktop, Printers, smartphones, etc) with respect of rules defined by IT Organization.
- Deploy IT tools based on Global instructions
- Manage Telephony system
- Train and educate end users in a clear and non-technical manner.
- Permanently remain up to date with innovations emerging on the market.
- Contribute to streamlining and standardizing procedures through continuous contact with the user and the study to implement new techniques, aiming to minimize the complexity of data processing problems.
- Contribute to the monitoring and assimilation of technological developments in the area of data processing, through specific courses, technical readings and contact with personnel from other companies, aiming for their professional improvement.
- Actively participate in actions related to Health, Safety, Environment and Lean Six Sigma (5'S) programs and adopt a preventive attitude, in accordance with the organization's guidelines.
- Travel up to 30% may be required (New York and Georgia)

Required Education & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in an applicable IT field or up to 2 years of applicable IT Support/technical experience in a manufacturing environment or a combination of education and experience.
- Microsoft Windows Skills (W7, 10, 11)
- Office 365 (Outlook, Excel)
- Active Directory
- Network Skills (LAN, TCP/IP, etc)
- ITIL skills
- Server Administration (W2019, 2022, etc)
- M4.0 based knowledge will be a plus
