Job Title: Information Technology/Systems AdministratorLocation: Wilburton, OKPosition Type: Full-Time, In-Office Full Benefits

Summary of Duties:

The Information Technology/Systems Administrator position is responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and supporting the software/hardware communications network infrastructure for the cooperative and system integration and integrity of those IT Systems. This position requires technical knowledge in hardware and software applications to ensure that all computer equipment and software modifications/enhancements are performed in an effective and professional manner.

Specific Duties:

  • Responsible for the integrity of the software Kiamichi Electric Cooperative staff uses for information purposes.
  • Maintains day-to-day operations and security of networks, endpoints, and servers.
  • Responsible for the integration, modification, and enhancements of all software and databases.
  • Ensure system backups are properly configured and maintained.
  • Responsible for Microsoft operating systems, Veeam backup solutions, Office 365 Administration, a Scale HC3 hyperconverged and VMware infrastructure.
  • Responsible for the Cybersecurity posture.
  • Responsible for developing SQL, Access or Crystal queries and reports for the staff.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and repairs of software/hardware and working with vendors on related issues when necessary.
  • Responsible for evaluating IT software and hardware.
  • Responsible for inspection and maintenance of all communication systems.
  • Assists in training of personnel in various software applications.
  • Assists in planning for future material and equipment needed in relation to IT equipment.
  • Promotes and maintains a safe work environment, observes all safety rules, and always supports the Mission Statement.

    Education Requirements:

  • A four-year degree in a computer/IT related field is preferred.
  • An associate degree in Computer/IT related field or Tech Certification with extensive work experience in applicable area may be substituted.
  • Prior experience using various computer OS such as Windows is required.
  • Experience in iOS required.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft based programs such as Access or SQL, including ODBC applications, is required.
  • Required Skills:

  • Server virtualization, common hypervisors and hyper convergent systems.
  • Veeam backup solutions.
  • Windows and Linux server platforms.
  • Microsoft 365 Administration.
  • Endpoint security solutions.
  • VLANs.
  • VoIP.
  • DNS, DHCP, Active Directory.
  • Storage Area Network – SAN.
  • Fiber and copper cabling.
  • Equipment mounting and installation.
  • Responsible for inspection and maintenance of all communications systems.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and repairs of software/hardware systems.
  • Responsible for integration, modification and enhancements of all software and databases.
  • High level of confidentiality required.
  • Organized and self-starter.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills and the ability to be a team player.
  • Must have attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

  • Working Conditions:

    Position must be able to analyze and resolve technical problems associated with the operation of computers and other various communications or network devices. Must be able to work with constant interruptions and can reschedule priorities to accommodate emergency situations. Position may require being called out after hours or odd schedules for emergency work and/or equipment failures.

    The position will require some lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.

    This position is classified as safety sensitive. A safety sensitive job is one that includes tasks or duties that the cooperative reasonably believes could affect the safety and health of the employee performing the tasks or others.     Travel:

    The IT/IS Administrator will require some travel for training and meetings as required by the Manager of IT/IS.
