Technical Project Manager (Infrastructure)

Must be local to Atlanta area and work Hybrid schedule

Duration: 6+month contract with possible extensions

Location: Atlanta, GA, (Smyrna area) 2-3 days a week onsite

Rate: $65 hourly w2

Our industry-leading client is looking for an IT Technical Project Manager that will be responsible for leading and managing delivery of diverse IT projects for Infrastructure, Network and integrated POS systems. In this role you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing complex software implementations and upgrades, collaborating with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, software engineering, quality assurance, security, network and Azure cloud. The ideal candidate will be technical and have experience managing multiple projects across network and infrastructure.

Qualifications for the IT Technical Project Manager (Infrastructure):

  • Experience in a technical environment with infrastructure and network related projects
  • Strong Software Development Project Management experience
  • Self-starter and ability to manage multiple small- mid size projects
  • Experience managing delivery of retail/restaurant Point of Sale (POS) Systems
  • Experience leading Production Release Deployments and overseeing all aspects of the software release process
  • Strong experience developing project plans applying estimating models, identifying resources, documenting assumptions and refining plans
  • Certifications (PMP, CSM, PSM)
  • Experience managing a QA team
  • Local to Atlanta and able to work a hybrid work schedule
  • Advanced proficiency with all MS Office applications
  • Experience with Project management tools, Jira, Rally, Smartsheet, or Confluence
  • Experience interacting across multiple areas including software and hardware vendors, systems engineers, business stakeholders and various IT teams
  • Agile experience (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Excellent communication, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Experience with self- service kiosks, payments and mobile applications
