Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the deployment and operation of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) that enhance cellular connectivity in our large office environments. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to foster strong relationships with vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of DAS to ensure optimal cellular coverage and performance within office spaces.
- Lead and manage DAS projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with DAS vendors and service providers, ensuring the highest standards of service and support.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for DAS-related issues, working closely with IT and network teams to resolve problems efficiently.
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports, system diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Perform regular system checks and audits to ensure the integrity and reliability of DAS installations.
- Identify opportunities for system enhancements and process improvements to optimize DAS performance and user experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in deploying and managing Distributed Antenna Systems or related wireless communication technologies.
- Proven track record of managing complex technical projects
- Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate service agreements.
- Strong understanding of RF principles, wireless communication standards, and network infrastructure.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cellular carriers and their operational requirements.
- Knowledge of DAS design and optimization tools.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and standards related to wireless communication.
