This pivotal role within our new FinOps & Advisory organization will provide you with the opportunity to make a significant impact on the firm's cloud cost management, financial operations, and optimization strategies.As an Infrastructure Architect, you will be responsible for designing best practice architectures and providing advisory on cost-optimized, performant infrastructure usage. You will work closely with the software development and investment community to ensure that our infrastructure is both efficient and cost-effective.In an Infrastructure Architect role at BAM, you will:
- Design and implement best practice architectures for both on-premises and cloud architectures.
- Provide advisory on cost-optimized infrastructure usage and strategies across all platforms.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Conduct infrastructure assessments and provide recommendations for optimization.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in infrastructure and cloud computing.
- Provide training and guidance on infrastructure management, optimization, and FinOps principles.
Core Tech Stack:
- Cloud Cost Management Tools: Cloudability, CloudHealth, CloudCheckr, or similar
- Infrastructure Management Tools: VMware, Nutanix, Kubernetes, Terraform
- Public cloud: AWS and Azure
- Scripting and Automation: Python, Bash, or similar
- Monitoring and Analytics: Prometheus, Grafana
- OS: Linux and Windows

- Strong understanding of on-premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with designing and implementing cost-optimized, scalable architectures.
- Knowledge of networking, security, and compliance in complex environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Bonus points for:
- FinOps certification or training.
- Public cloud certification (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with IT financial management, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Contributions to technology communities or thought leadership in infrastructure optimization.
- Experience with infrastructure automation and orchestration tools.
- Knowledge of containerization and microservices architectures.
