RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX that is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer.Key Responsibilities:* Infrastructure Engineer will design, configure, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)* Manage and support virtualized environments using platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar technologies* Monitor infrastructure performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend solutions for improvement* Ensure infrastructure security by implementing firewalls, VPNs, monitoring tools, and security best practices* Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide timely resolution* Lead infrastructure-related projects, from initial design through implementation and support* As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to optimize and enhance system performance and reliability* Automate routine tasks and processes using scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python)* Document infrastructure designs, configurations, processes, and procedures* Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation within the IT infrastructureREQUIREMENTS:* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience* 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, network administration, or a related role* Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)* Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)* Knowledge of automation tools and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)* Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and experience implementing security measures* Expertise in networking technologies (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, load balancing, firewalls)* Proficiency in server and storage management, including Windows/Linux administration* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teamsThe pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
