Job Description:

The position of Infrastructure Engineer requires working knowledge of various disciplines in order to support the Organization. The incumbent in this position tests, troubleshoots and implements complex server technologies, operating systems components, software tools, utilities and applications. This role will be responsible for staging, maintaining multiple environments, and assisting with the integration of new technology into the existing infrastructure that supports the Organization's goals. Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation of our infrastructure. Position requires strong problem-solving, analytical and communications skills.Essential Functions & Responsibilities Manages and monitors all installed systems and infrastructure.Proactively ensures the highest levels of system and infrastructure availability.Investigates and prepares root cause analysis of system failures.Maximizes network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting.Develops and maintains documentation about current environment setup, standard operating procedures, and best practices.Researches and recommends infrastructure enhancements and hardware/software solutions to streamline processes, ensure system stability, and enable growth.Assists in implementing new systems and network infrastructure including but not limited to routers, switches, servers, PCs.Contributes to management in developing strategic planning and assists in providing short and long-term solutions to help meet the Organization's strategic and tactical department planning initiatives.Monitors project prioritization, active projects, and the development of dashboard and reporting mechanisms.Manages the overall health of the infrastructure by overseeing all pro-active tasks.Assists in managing and testing the enterprise backup system.Assists in maintaining the Business Continuity and Incident Response plans.Performs Business Continuity and Incident Response plan tests.Reports any information security events/incidents to management immediately.Assists with coordination and documentation of the response to an information security incident according to established policies and procedures.Serves as an escalation point to the department.Serves as a 24/7 escalation point of contact for critical infrastructure issues and provides timely updates to management.Logs and tracks all issues using a ticket tracking system.Assists in maintaining the department's knowledgebase and additional documentation.Performs additional duties and related essential duties as assigned.Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.Ability to maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, other federal, state, and local standards, and company attendance policies and procedures.Ability to come to work and work the regular schedule and shift for the position.Compliance with all personnel policies and procedures.Required Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in an Information Technology field or minimum of 7 years related work experience.High-level working knowledge of hardware and networking.Proficient knowledge in Windows Client, Windows Server OS and Linux.Proficient knowledge in Virtualization and Cloud.Proficient knowledge in software issue repairs.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Preferred Certification includes but not limited to: CompTIA A+, CompTIA N+, VMware Certified Professional, Citrix Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Microsoft Azure Certified.#J-18808-Ljbffr
