Infrastructure Engineer
Hybrid, Boston – 3 Days On-Site
W2 Contract, 6 Months (Extensions Possible)
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our professional services client. The role involves the design, implementation, and maintenance of a global IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure the security, integrity, and seamless operation of systems across multiple data centers. This role offers opportunities to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the continuous improvement of enterprise-level systems.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, maintain, and support infrastructure in multiple global data centers.
- Manage data backup and archive processes to ensure data integrity.
- Handle production support requests.
- Uphold the security and integrity of production and development environments following organizational security policies.
- Maintain and test disaster recovery plans.
- Design and implement high-level and low-level infrastructure solutions.
- Perform audits, peer reviews, and due diligence as required.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting the following technologies:
- VMware Data Center Virtualization (ESXi, vSphere, vCenter, micro-segmentation, VMware Horizon/VDI).
- Microsoft Active Directory at an enterprise level.
- Storage Technologies (Hybrid, Flash, Nimble).
- Microsoft Windows Servers.
- PowerShell scripting.
- Experience supporting large, enterprise-level infrastructures.
- Knowledge of system hardware platforms (HP/Dell/Cisco).
- Professional virtualization certification (preferred but not required).
