This job profile for this posting is Infrastructure Engineering Senior Advisor which is a band 4 Career Track Role with Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc. Responsibilities
- Work with development and performance leaderships to assess testing needs and define a performance test strategy.
- Identify gaps in team member skillsets and highlight training opportunities. Build and present performance testing roadmap.
- Define and knowledge transfer performance test script development best practices.
- Define and interpret application and infrastructure key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitoring tools in collaboration with delivery teams.
- Evaluate performance/resiliency testing tools and guide on leveraging such tools in an enterprise environment.
- Triage the cause of failed performance tests to lower the test failure occurrence rate. Enable developers to self-service early performance testing (shift-left).
- Develop reports and present to leadership on progress in performance test strategy.
- Lead Proof of Concepts (POCs), including working with application teams, consultant firms, and product vendors.
- Partner with application development and production support leaders.
- Engage in capacity planning discussions, forecasting, and architecture design.
- Incidental domestic travel only. Partial virtual / work-from-home benefit available.
Qualifications - Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of IT experience (or a Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of IT experience).
- Must have experience with:
- design and development of automated test scripts; performance test planning; Performance Testing and Performance Engineering;
- working with Test Data Management teams; developing performance test strategy;
- using technologies including load testing tools (such as LoadRunner, Performance Center, jmeter, or NeoLoad), Dynatrace, Java, .Net, and Linux.
