Participates in maintaining the systems and related technology for area of assignment; provides technical support to City departments and end users; diagnoses and troubleshoots technical issues; and performs other related duties as assigned. Examples of Duties Answers, processes, and prioritizes Helpdesk calls; creates, updates, and maintains technical work orders; tracks orders through to satisfactory completion; participates in rotating weekly 24x7 on-call Helpdesk duty. Manages security aspects affecting assigned areas of responsibility including analysis of appropriate log file entries; analyzes appropriate applications. Interprets log file anomalies; takes appropriate corrective and/or preventative action. Works with stakeholders, vendors and contractors to resolve problems; provides application consulting and assistance with planning activities and end user support. Ensures integration between systems, identifies standards and prioritizes project tasks to meet stakeholder needs. Performs other duties relative to area of assignment as assigned or required. Minimum Requirements Associate's Degree in Computer Science or related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License. Must complete assigned FEMA training within 1 year of employment. Must achieve CJIS security clearance within the initial probationary period of employment. Applicable technology certifications are desirable. Physical Demands/Work Environment Work is performed in a standard office environment and in and around City facilities. Subject to sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing ladders, and lifting of objects up to 50 pounds. Subject to operating City motor vehicles and equipment applicable to the area of responsibility.
