dedication to a great working culture EMPLOYMENT TYPE Full Time REPORTS TO Clinic Manager FLSA STATUS Non Exempt GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB The individual in this role will assist providers nurses and patients by conducting administrative and patient care activities to keep the facility running smoothly The Licensed Practical Nurse is also responsible for initial patient greeting and general assisting of medical support in the center This individual provides safe effective and compassionate care that is consistent with the State Federal and Company guidelines Company policies and procedures and within hisher scope of practice PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prep charts one week in advance On the data review grid enter labs x rays progress notes from the last visit and consultation notes Make sure pertinent reports are printed from the power chart and entered on the grid On the BMD grid enter BMD results On the TB test grid enter PPD and QuantiFeron resultsMonitor lab results to make sure that patients are indeed having their ordered labs performed and follow up with them when they get behind with a phone call and letter document in chart Currently done by Medical Records clinical is back up to ensure this is doneReview the medical supplies inventory log to make sure that needed supplies are ordered Supplies should be ordered in bulk when possible Done by Clinical Manager unless otherwise directedKeep exam rooms stocked with medical supplies Keep exam rooms neat and tidy Wipe exam rooms down at the end of the day and as needed throughout the dayEscort patients to the exam room Perform preliminary patient examinations such as taking and charting vitals assessing patients needs and taking medical history so that the providers time can be used effectively Inform the doctor that the patient is present and ready to be seen Update the provider on any noted changes or concernsAssist providers with telehealth including checking virtual patients in and updating medical history in NextGenScribe patient visits as directed by the provider educate patients and prepare ordersMaintains and reviews patient records charts and other pertinent information documents patient histories procedures performed medications posts tests and examination resultsLearn and stay up to date with rheumatology medications treatments etc Understand and be familiar with all procedures done in the office Able to educate and answer patient questions on the sameDemonstrate effective communication skills reporting patient issues as needed throughout the treatment dayFollow company policies and CDC guidelines for infection controlSECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Immediately report any unsafe condition to the Clinic ManagerPerform all duties in a professional and courteous mannerAble to cover co workers for vacations etc in other departmentsAbility to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines and high work volumeParticipate in emergency evacuation procedures in the event of fire or disasterMaintain confidentiality of all company and patient records Adhere to HIPPAComply with all company established policies and procedures at all timesParticipate in all required meetings including staff and educational meetingsRequest assistance or advice from the supervisor as neededPerforms other duties as requestedQUALIFICATIONS To ability to adjust focus While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand; walk and talk hear and smell Requires excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity The employee is
