Infusion RN Job DescriptionJob Title: Infusion RNJob Type: Part-time, PRN, Per diemMedical Specialty: Home HealthExperience: Nursing: 1 year (Required)License/Certification: BLS Certification (Required), RN (Required), US Nursing License (Required)Work Location: On the roadJob SummaryThe Infusion RN will provide infusion therapy nursing services to patients in their homes. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and care, and be able to perform catheter access & care, vitals/assessments, medication administration, and blood draws. The Infusion RN will also provide patient education on self-administration of medication and make visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptly.ResponsibilitiesPerform catheter access & care (peripheral IVs, port-a-caths, PICC/central lines), vitals/assessments, medication administration (Abx, TPN, IVIG, and other specialty meds), blood drawsProvide patient education on self-administration of medicationMake visit notes through electronic charting and submit promptlyRequirementsCurrent Registered Nurse license with competent in the duties described aboveMinimum 1-year experience in infusion therapy and/or catheter maintenance and careReliable transportation, access to a printer/scanner/fax machineMust be able to communicate promptly with our scheduling personnelExpect to do 2 visits per weekLicensed driver with valid automobile insuranceAbout Helms Home CareHelms Home Care is a skilled nursing services company based out of Denver, NC.
