Job Title: Injection Mold Process TechnicianLocation: Akron, OHHourly Pay: $20 - $25 per hourShifts Available:1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM3rd Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM ( $1/hour shift differential)Position Type: Contract-to-Hire or Direct Hire OpportunityPosition Overview:We are seeking an experienced Injection Mold Process Technician to join our dynamic team in Akron, OH. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the injection molding process, from setup and operation of the molding machines to troubleshooting and process improvement. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of injection molding systems and a commitment to producing high-quality parts in a safe and efficient manner.Key Responsibilities:Machine Operation: Start up and shut down injection molding machines as needed, ensuring all procedures are followed for scheduled repairs or emergency situations.Mold & Machine Adjustments: Document mold changes and machine adjustments, including troubleshooting and process optimizations.Processing Decisions: Make informed decisions regarding process adjustments based on troubleshooting data (cause/effect) and machine performance.Collaboration: Work closely with the Quality and Production departments to ensure molded components meet strict specifications and industry standards.Machine Parameter Checks: Perform systematic checks of critical machine parameters, including temperature settings, part weight, cycle times, and other process variables.Work Area Organization: Adhere to 5S practices to maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.Material Management: Ensure adequate inventory of raw materials, including ordering plastic resins to keep the machines running smoothly throughout the shift.Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and continuously strive for process improvements to ensure the safety of yourself and your coworkers.Process Improvement: Assist with new mold sampling, troubleshooting, and process streamlining to improve overall production efficiency.Skills & Qualifications:2-5 years of experience in injection molding processes, with a strong understanding of molding machines and related equipment.Previous experience as an Injection Mold Process Technician is preferred.Familiarity with injection molding systems such as Toshiba, Arburg, and Engel, along with robotic interfaces, is a plus.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document and communicate process adjustments clearly.Excellent math skills and attention to detail to ensure precise machine settings and part quality.High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in molding processes are a plus.Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including background checks and drug testing.Company Benefits:Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.Company-paid life insurance.401(k) plan with company match to help you plan for the future.Paid holidays and two weeks of paid vacation.Additional benefits include a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan with Medical, Vision, Dental, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services.If you are a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for injection molding, we would love to hear from you.
