Job Description:

NOW HIRING for Automotive Mold Injection Technician role!

The Automotive Mold Injection Technician role will be responsible for the quality and efficiency of plastic parts production in the car manufacturingfacility.

Primary duties involve operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting injection molding machines used to create various vehicle components.

Responsibilities -

Machine Setup and Operation:

  • Set up injection molding machines according to specifications, including mold installation, material loading, and parameter adjustments.
  • Operate machines safely and efficiently to produce high-quality plastic parts within production targets.
  • Monitor machine performance during operation, making adjustments as needed to maintain consistent quality and cycle times.

Quality Control:

  • Perform inspections on produced parts to ensure they meet dimensional requirements and are free of defects like cracks, warpage, or surface imperfections.
  • Utilize measuring tools and gauges to verify part tolerances.
  • Identify and report any quality issues to maintain production standards.

Maintenance:

  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance tasks on injection molding machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Report any significant maintenance needs to ensure timely repairs by qualified technicians.

Recordkeeping:

  • Maintain accurate records of production data, machine settings, and quality control checks.
  • Document any issues encountered and the corrective actions taken.

Other Duties May Include -

  • Assisting with mold changes and troubleshooting minor molding problems.
  • Following safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes.

Qualifications -

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an automotive or similar manufacturing environment operating injection molding machines.
  • Strong understanding of injection molding principles, including material properties, machine operation, and process parameters.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude with a knack for troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality control.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
