About us WRA Architects is a Texas and Oklahoma based Architectural Design firm specializing in K-12 Educational facilities. About the role As an Innovation and Technology Director, the position is responsible for the management and oversight of Information Technology and will collaborate with Director of Architecture on oversight of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Visualizations Teams. This position requires a minimum of ten years of experience including management of teams. A bachelors degree in Information Technology, Architecture, or a related field is required. A State Architectural license is strongly encouraged. Responsibilities
- Uses technologies to research and analyze complex issues surrounding an organization's systems.
- Guides an assessment process to define the organization's needs and explore and evaluate solution options that meet business requirements.
- Identifies technical infrastructure solutions for improving processes, efficiency, and practices of the organization's business systems.
- Guides service teams with consulting skills and technological expertise to staff projects and provide project support.
- Analyzes overall project timelines, resources, expenses, and outcomes to optimize operations and service offerings.
- Directs the implementation and administration of information systems and equipment in accordance with organizational policies and goals.
- Develops internal procedures and guidelines to diagnose and resolve technical issues across different systems and technologies, including hardware, software, and networks.
- Analyzes high-level business needs and researches new technologies to identify and select IT hardware and software products to support internal business processes.
- Evaluates methodologies, processes, and specifications of an organization's IT systems to develop an IT strategy and roadmap and ensure computer equipment, hardware, and software operate in alignment with organizational needs and standards.
- Is responsible for network security and ensuring staff compliance with network security processes and procedures.
- Oversees IT projects through their entire lifecycle to ensure completion is on-time and within budget and provides technical guidance to resolve complex issues.
- Manages Information Technology and collaborates on management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Visualizations Teams.
- Collaborates with Director of Architecture, Finance, Administration, Marketing and Business Development Directors and reports to Board of Directors and Partner in Charge of Innovation and Technology.
- Understand the optimization point between natural resources and operational performance of the built environment
- Understanding of a human-centered design (strong focus on thermal comfort)
- Understand Specifications integration (I would like help with this but not sure this falls in the scope of this position)
- Technological assistance with Acoustical performance
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices as well as an innate understanding of risk management strategies
- Serve as a firm resource for technical design support partnering and mentoring with project teams to develop strategies within projects by providing leadership, guidance, and support to meet built environment goals.
- Identify industry trends and propose best practices as they relate to technical design.
- Knowledge of environmentally intelligent building materials and practices

Reports Innovation and Technology Director will report to the Board of Directors Partner responsible for WRA's Innovation and Technology Team. Continuing Education/ Expertise/ Leadership Participate in continuing education seminars, conventions & organizations relevant to Architecture to stay up to date on the latest best practices and techniques.
