Ensures comprehensive, competent and coordinated patient centered care. Develops and implements business and strategic plans ensuring optimal delivery of services and compliance with governmental regulations and established accrediting agency standards. Develops programs for the hospital to advance the practice of pharmacy in assuring optimal patient care. EDUCATION/TRAINING: Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy. At least three years of health care system pharmacy management or commensurate experience. Completion of a pharmacy practice residency preferred.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Licensed in the State of Illinois.EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Excellent problem solving and communication skills. Strong leadership, training and organizational skills. Ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of staff within the organization and community. Successful completion of annual clinical, age and job specific competencies and skill verification tools required. Exceptional computer skills; particularly with Microsoft Office and related programs. Strong understanding of hospital operations. Active involvement in national or state organizations.
