Duties of the Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative
- Handle incoming customer calls for order placement and sales quotes.
- Collaborate with outside sales representatives on customer orders and quotes.
- Assist customers in the showroom with inquiries and order placements.
- Generate new or additional sales through phone outreach and in-person interactions in the showroom.
- Research product solutions to address customer project issues.
- Restock showroom displays and conduct cycle counts as needed.
Required Experience for the Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative
- Some college coursework preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
- Experience in the building hardware materials industry is beneficial.
- Customer service, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Team-oriented with a proactive approach.
- Proficient in Word and Excel & Outlook
- AS400 experience is a plus.
- Must effectively use Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) for daily tasks.
