Job Description:
The Inside Sales Representative will have proven background in inside sales - ideally in industrial products with excellent customer service, sales skills, MS Office skills and be self-motivated.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Generate new and repeat sales by providing product quotations and technical information in a timely manner.Determine clients' requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products, services and/or solutions.Accurately process client transactions such as orders, quotes or returns.Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering featured promotional sale items.Obtain accurate information from vendors relating to product shipment dates and expected date of delivery.Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed.Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the team.Communicate to the purchasing department unexpected increases or decreases in demand for products.Follow company policies and procedures.Present a professional image at all times to clients and vendors.Work Environment:This job operates in a mixed use office/industrial building. There is also the possible opportunity of working from home. The office is a smoking/drug free environment.Physical Demands:This role is performed primarily while seated. However, certain duties also require standing, walking, and carrying. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; with a 60 minute unpaid lunch. 40 hours per week.
