Outside Sales Rep – Building Materials Distribution

gpac, a 30 year recruitment company, is partnered with a well-established company in the lumber andbuilding materials distribution industry. Our client, a family-owned company for over 20 years, is seekinga motivated and experienced Outside Sales Rep to join their growing team. This is an amazingopportunity for candidates looking to advance their careers in wholesale distribution and be a part of asuccessful, growing company.

As the Outside Sales Rep, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships withcustomers, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets. You will utilize yourbuilding materials knowledge, particularly in lumber, concrete, roofing, metal and wood framing, andsiding to effectively communicate and demonstrate the value of our client's products to customers.

Job Type: Full Time

Responsibilities for the Outside Sales Rep: Ensure delivery of target sales by meeting with customers and maintaining relationships Recommend service and product enhancements to improve sales potential Analyze plans and trends to ensure best assignment of territories, clients, and servicedistribution. Maintain technical and professional knowledge by reviewing professional publications,participating in industry networks, and growing lasting client relationships Establish sales objectives by projecting expected sales volumes and forecasting. Remain relevant with economic indicators, changing trends, supply and demand shifts, andproduct mix. Positively contribute to full sales and customer service teams Develop and collaborate on long- and short-term sales strategies

Requirements of the Outside Sales Rep: Minimum 3-5 years of Outside Sales experience in wholesale distribution Strong knowledge of lumber, building materials, concrete, roofing, and/or precast Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to establish rapport and build relationships with customers Highly motivated and results-oriented Strong negotiation and closing skills
