We are looking for an experienced Inside Sales Manager (ISM) to help Goebel Fasteners, Inc. exceed sales goals using a combination of selling skills, product knowledge, and sales management skills to manage an effective/profitable inside sales team. This person will be responsible for managing current customer relationships through a branch network as well as business development through product expansion opportunities and new customer acquisition. Description:

The Inside Sales Manager (ISM) is responsible for executing a sales plan, managing a 4 - 8 person sales team of inside sales reps, sales assistants, CSRs and BDRs to service the industrial & commercial fastener markets along with other verticals that provide fasteners, tool equipment sales and service. The primary goal of this position is to drive sales through identification of sales opportunities, increased/improved B2B dealer contact, and process/efficiency improvements. The successful candidate will cultivate a professional, positive and competitive environment that is conducive to growing sales. You will report to the National Sales Manager and work with peer management and purchasing staff to grow our customer base and product line. We are looking for a leader who values working with and growing small to mid-size companies.

Qualified candidates must have demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative environment where operations and sales work together to plan and execute successful projects and exceed customer expectations. This position requires a goal oriented person with a high level of self-motivation and a strong work ethic. A positive attitude and a friendly demeanor are essential in working with our clientele. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in B2B distribution sales and will be able to offer technical information while selling quality products.

Essential Functions

- Effectively manages the workflow within the department, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met for each stage of the process

- Works cooperatively with inside sales team, outside manufacturers reps, and other members of the sales team to grow existing customers, acquire new customers to meet or exceed monthly sales goals at the appropriate gross margin while improving customer satisfaction.

- Effectively manages quotations and flawless order execution based on specific customer requirements alongside the CSR team to assure that our proposals lead to orders that they can easily review, acknowledge, and enter

- Manages selling and customer service activities, developing and implementing sales and customer retention programs to optimize sales performance, profitability and customer satisfaction. Plan, forecast and report on sales and competitor pricing, activity and tactics.

- Proactively follow up with customers on quotations with goals to achieve conversion to orders

- Insure timely and successful delivery/production on all quotes & orders according to customer needs and objectives

- Complete data entry to include quotes, sales orders, purchase orders, and add inventory items

- Provide training and support of the sales staff and assist in closing deals along with assisting in managing all other aspects of the sales department

- Lead customer service department's order retention efforts by resolving issues and helping satisfy customer needs while tracking relevant KPI's to manage team performance

- Explain products, application, and benefits to customers, colleagues, and direct reports

- Responsible for the KPIs of the Inside Sales team, including motivation for the team to hit targets and adjusting where necessary.

- Oversee sales reporting including daily, weekly, and monthly reporting

- Motivate, supervise, and coach inside sales team on outbound calls.

- Set goals and expectations in alignment with leadership's vision and business directives.

- Understand the teams operational processes and drive improvements where necessary

- Assist senior leadership team in creating and setting KPIs for team

- Provide customers/prospects/contacts with product information and technical support

- Update job knowledge by studying new products and participating in educational opportunities

- Answer phones and emails with proper business etiquette

- Maintain confidentiality of customer and company data

- Develop new contacts in customer database via cold-calling & generating new leads

- Work with manager on a continual basis to achieve performance goals

- Possess excellent interpersonal skills including strong self-motivation, focus and passion for the sales process and service to customers

- Accomplish department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

- Maintain professionalism and communication to maintain customer and vendor relationships

- Model company culture reflecting positivity and core values in all actions

- Represent Goebel Fasteners, Inc. in a positive and professional manner and maintain excellent customer service

- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited four-year university or have strong mechanical aptitude with at least four years' sales experience

- Minimum 5-7 years managing people with experience working as Inside Sales or Supervisor

- Proven ability to balance multiple competing priorities, meet deadlines, be responsive and thrive in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to develop and lead sales forecasting activities, and performance goals.

- Strong proficiency in clear and concise interpersonal and communications skills

- Basic computer skills including experience with CRM maintenance, Quoting, and Order Management is required. Basic to Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, Outlook, Word, and Excel

- Ability to work and to interact with customers and employees while demonstrating tact, sensitivity, discretion and professionalism

- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and sales proposals

- Highly organized; able to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively

- Strong keyboarding and proofreading skills that result in minimal errors

- You must be a US citizen or Permanent Resident

Equipment and Working Conditions

- Ability to travel 15% or more as needed to customer sites, trade shows, and training sites

- Must have valid driver's license with a clean driving record

- Sitting 80% of time, standing and movement 20% of time
