The staff is comprised of professionals with backgrounds in insurance including claims, underwriting, brokerage, accounting, compliance, and marketing.

About the Job

The current client base is comprised of privately owned businesses and individuals and families. AssetSure has a growing number of Center of Influence (COI) relationships. Inside Sales has accountability for working with AssetSure Business Development and Account Management teams, and COI to create successful interactions. Candidates for Inside Sales must have a penchant for making connections with people, enjoy building relationships, empathetically navigate conversations, and bring solutions. A positive outlook brings an important contribution to promoting the agencys brand while delivering value in accordance with AssetSure brand pillars. Inside Sales is part of the Business Development team and reports to the VP, Business Development at AssetSure and works closely with Business and Personal Insurance teams in delivering to clients a concierge level of service while combining a holistic view and industry expertise, in the following areas:

  • Business Insurance sales and retention (Commercial Lines) includes general liability, workers compensation, property insurance, and specialty lines such as cyber insurance, professional liability insurance, directors & officers insurance.
  • Personal Insurance sales and retention (Personal Lines) includes homeowners insurance, automobile insurance, including collector car, recreational including yacht, umbrella liability and other specialty insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with COI and AssetSure staff in prospecting and retention of commercial and personal insurance clients.
  • Promote consistent execution of marketing and communication strategy by using published templates for correspondence and communication with clients.
  • Workflow will include communicating with clients, prospects and COI via phone calls and email communication. Also, workflow includes documenting communications, scheduling appointments on behalf of outside sales (meetings/calls) and confirming scheduled appointments with COIs, prospects, and clients with AssetSure staff via Microsoft Outlook.
  • Timely response to work assignments via Agency Management System. Some examples of Inside Sales work assignments include rating in carrier systems, preparation of ACORD forms and other underwriting information, preparing and sending proposals and summaries of insurance, following up on orders including invoicing, payment, and checklists.
  • Collecting and filing documentation (submission information required for Account Management team and underwriters).
  • Active follow-up to obtain client applications and information to support Account Management team.
  • Work towards consistently meeting service standards, exercising a disciplined approach to following agency protocols and workflows, and consistent daily use of the Agency Management/Customer Relationship Manager systems.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with HIGC staff.

Required Skills

Bachelors degree.

  • Requires Property & Casualty producer license or willingness to obtain.
  • Requires time management, self-motivation, and sound decision making.
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Competence with Microsoft Office Suite Applications and Google Workspace
