ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Process inspection reports and compare to the conditions that were represented to us at the time of quoting and binding and take appropriate or needed actions.
2. Meet or exceed production goals as assigned by TAPCO as it relates to inspection processing including suspense items.
3. Consult with inspection vendors, carrier underwriters, etc. regarding any problems or issues and resolve inspection discrepancies prior to issuance.
4. Sort and process endorsement requests from inspection findings according to carrier underwriting guidelines.
5. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients, agents, carrier underwriters, etc.
6. Monitor accounts to ensure compliance with the carrier's policies, procedures and Underwriting guidelines.
7. Instruct support staff on the handling of cancellation and non-renewal notices according to statutory and Company requirements as it relates to inspections.
8. Review and disperse policy servicing requests from inspection findings to appropriate departments that handle endorsements, audits, Company request, Certificates, Premium Finance Notices and Cancellations, etc.
9. Maintain necessary Property & Casualty and Surplus Lines Licenses where necessary in order to conduct business with retail agents and insureds
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Property and Casualty and Surplus Lines insurance license required; any insurance designations are preferred; Bachelor's Degree optional
2. One year of Commercial Underwriting experience
3. Must be able to understand and analyze necessary components of insurance policies
4. Ability to understand the client's needs and have knowledge of the risk profiles associated
5. Recognize new trends and developments in the insurance industry and be able to incorporate into strategies as it relates to inspections
6. Must have knowledge of commercial multi-line underwriting and rating
7. Must have the ability to use company automation including Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, DocuCorp and company proprietary software
8. Ability to develop, foster, and maintain an excellent working relationship with carrier underwriters
9. Exercise discretion in making decisions and utilize critical thinking skills
10. Exhibit and demonstrate team playing skills
11. Excellent written and oral communication skills
12. Ability to work extended hours when/if necessary
