Salary: $61,490DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARYTo perform first article inspection on parts and test products to ensure Suppliers are meeting Pride component specifications and global quality standardsRESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES• Perform set-up and testing on finished goods, parts, components, circuitry, modules, and/or sub-systems for use in/with Pride products• Perform set-up and inspection on critical dimensional, material and workmanship specifications on a variety of components, assemblies, and equipment• Create and maintain testing and inspection records by recording legible notes, compiling accurate data and generating official reports• Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and file in accordance with company and department procedures supporting the role in Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs) • Perform routine inspections, regular maintenance and compliance checks on test/inspection equipment and ensure all instruments meet Pride calibration standards• Accept and maintain focus on special projects, continuous improvement and lean initiatives while meeting deadlines established leadership• Apply an understanding of design change protocol, demonstrate good business judgment and support product research and development in the best interest of Pride sales efforts• Develop working knowledge of industry standards such as Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA), International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) for testing, and Institute of Interconnecting and Packaging Electronic Circuits (IPC), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) for inspecting, to accurately perform product verification activities• Develop working knowledge of government agency requirements such as Food and Drug Administration (FDA) & Pricing, Data Analysis and Coding (PDAC), Assistive Devices Program of Ontario (ADP), European Medical Device Regulation (EU MDR), and Therapeutic Goods of Australia (TGA), to verify compliance of Pride products for the intended country(s) of sale• Acquire familiarity with other applicable US government agency requirements such as Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Department of Energy (DOE), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Department of Transportation (DOT) & Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)• Develop working knowledge of Pride Testing, Inspection, and Research & Development (R&D) procedures as well as specification documents, such as engineering drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs), R&D forms and charts • Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management • Attend the Annual C-TPAT Security Training• Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment • Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations• Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary REQUIRED SKILLS• Must be a team player, friendly, professional, detail-oriented, and honestMust have the ability to:• Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment• Safely use hand tools and standard power tools• Use testing and inspection equipment which includes calipers, micrometers, GO/NO-GO gauges, height, thread and pin gauges, V-blocks, surface plates, hardness testers, torque testers, electrical testers, optical comparator, digital multimeters and oscilloscopes• Design, develop and document test fixtures and testing protocols• Read and comprehend work instructions• Prepare and present summary reportsMust have:• Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement• A willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods• Basic working knowledge of product safety and regulatory requirements such as FDA & OSHA• Basic working knowledge of hand and standard power tools• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel• Excellent web navigation skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skillsPREEFRRED SKILLS• Basic understanding of Lean Principles preferred• Basic familiarity with American National Standards Institute/Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (ANSI/RESNA), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards preferred• Lift/push/pull 40 lbs. preferredREQUIRED EXPERIENCE• At least 1 year of hands on technical or engineering related experience in an environment supporting design, manufacturing, or product verification processesPREFERRED EXPERIENCE• At least 1 year of experience building electrical and mechanical test fixtures preferred• At least 1 year of experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred• Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferredREQUIRED EDUCATION• Associate Degree in Engineering or High School Diploma/GED with at least 6 years of hands on technical or engineering experience in an environment supporting design, manufacturing, or product verification processes PREFERRED EDUCATION• Bachelor's Degree in
