We are currently searching for an experienced Inspector Aide to support our Southeast Region located in Pensacola, FL. What you'll be doing:

  • Will perform a range of routine and standardized work including, but not limited to, manual and/or electronic calculations, computations, and inspections of construction processes and materials to assure compliance with the construction contract
  • Will inspect truck load tickets for roadway aggregate base course
  • Will perform a variety of simple materials sampling, inspection and/or testing
  • Will perform contract administrative duties, which may include field measurements of pay item quantities, project close-out, as well as other Department required documentation
What you need to have:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Some knowledge of surveying, highway construction or design
  • General knowledge of mathematical functions, skill in the use of office equipment such as a calculator
  • Ability to read and interpret such things as construction plans, contract provisions, and inspection procedures
  • Must have a valid driver's license and immediate ability to work in the United States
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends as required
  • Preference for one (1) year transportation experience
  • Must apply safety philosophy and program to all operations
  • Passing scores on FDOT's Construction Engineering Inspection Training tests Group 1
  • GSWCC Level 1a (Erosion Control)
  • FDOT WECS
  • FDOT Field Concrete Technician Certification
