Job Description:Level B Responsibilities:
Inspection & Interpretation: Use and interpret drawings, inspection manuals, specifications, and shop mathematics, alongside precision measuring instruments and specialized inspection equipment to accomplish tasks.
Quality System Familiarity: Apply knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS) Policies and Procedures to ensure compliance and maintain standards.
Company Procedures: Demonstrate working knowledge of company policies, procedures, and specifications.
Production Processes: Maintain an understanding of overall production processes to support quality inspection functions.
Communication & Coordination: Engage with other departments or customer representatives as required to coordinate tasks and accomplish work.
Communication Skills: Display effective written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
Computing Skills: Demonstrate proficiency with computer systems to perform inspections and record results.
Testing & Recording: Operate testing machines, calculate results, and document outcomes accurately.
Certifications: Maintain required certifications relevant to the inspection tasks.
Planning & Execution: Plan and determine your own sequence of operations to complete tasks effectively.
Inspection Procedures: Follow shop procedures to accept or reject parts, processes, and assemblies.
Tool Verification: Verify tool qualifications and ensure they meet required standards.
Quality Records: Prepare and maintain quality records to support documentation and compliance.
Flexible Work: Work across equivalent or lower-level inspector job codes as needed.
Cross-training: Participate in cross-training for equivalent-level roles in assembly, composites, metals, processes, and system/payload structures mechanics.
Ability to work any shift as required.
Experience with quality management systems and company procedures.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and record-keeping skills.
Technical proficiency with tools, testing machines, and computers.
Commitment to maintaining required certifications.
