JMT, is currently ranked #61 on Engineering News-Record's list of the Top 500 Design Firms.JMT's Construction Management Team is looking for an Inspector II to a pply standard inspection procedures to ongoing activities, in SHA District 6, during and after construction for structural quality, general safety and conformance to plans, specifications and codes.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesReview and interpret plans, site layouts, specifications and construction methods to ensure compliance to legal requirements and safety regulations.Performs routine tests on concreate, soils and other materialsMeasure dimensions and verify level, alignment, and elevation of structures, fixtures, grades and/or pavement to ensure compliance to plans and codes.Gathers and maintains record documentsMakes field notes and computationsNonessential Functions and ResponsibilitiesPerform other related duties as assignedRequired SkillsComputer ProficiencyMust successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screeningRequired ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent (may be substituted for experience)1-4 years of Construction Inspection ExperienceActive driver's licensePreferred ExperienceAssociate's or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction ManagementClient Requested certificationsWorking ConditionsWork is performed in the field. Ability to extensively perform bending, kneeling, standing, shoveling, and lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs as needed.
