Location: Laredo, TX What we are looking for: Yazaki is looking for an Inspector I to join our Laredo, Rework team in Laredo, TX. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization. What you will be doing: The Inspector I is responsible for checking each prototype harness and comparing it to the Authorized Revision (A/R) and wire harness drawing. The Inspector I is also responsible for checking each circuit that was revised from point to point for continuity using a continuity checker. Performing a visual inspection on the portion of the harness that was reworked to ensure all the components are attached properly is also a responsibility of the Inspector I as well as recording the inspection results and completing the inspection reports. What you will bring to the table:
- Performs the inspection process for Pre-Production Reworks
- Analyzes the A/R, wire harness drawing, and any other information required to perform the inspection process
- Measures dimensional specifications with a tape measure as described in the above work instruction
- Visualizes and understands wire harness drawing pictorial/section views
- Measures continuity with a continuity checker as described in the above work instruction
- Accepts responsibility for the quality of the harness
- Assists management in meeting corporate and departmental goals and objectives
- Supports corporate policies and departmental policies
- Supports EMS/QMS policies and procedures
- Supports health and safety policies
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
