As an Inspector, you will be part of a small, mutually supportive, collaborative team that does whatever it takes to assure customer satisfaction. Key duties include:
- Incoming, first piece, in-process, and final inspections, typically using common manual and digital gauges, plus comparators and electronic measuring devices
- Perform a variety of activities with only a normal level of supervision
- Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material, improper operations, and unusual conditions to supervision
- Communicate effectively with internal company partners (co-workers, internal customers, etc.) when performing assigned tasks
- Keep the supervisor aware in a timely manner of any issues needing the supervisor's involvement
- Maintain timely and accurate records and reports, as required
- Observe good housekeeping and safety habits
- Support change and company/departmental goals through actions and behavior
- Perform assignments in a timely and efficient manner while meeting customer quality expectations
Candidates should have:
- 3+ yrs. experience as an inspector of precision machined threaded stainless steel, steel, and brass components
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, inspection plans, and part measurement using common manual and digital gauges, comparators, and computerized measuring equipment
- Proven mechanical aptitude (demonstrated via prior employment/training/education)
- Proven skills in oral and written communication, MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, etc.), ERP systems, problem solving, and follow up
- The ability to work effectively with a broad range of personalities
- High adaptability and flexibility
