Job Description:

As an Inspector - Level 2 here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our products. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, and tests to ensure that products meet the required standards and specifications. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will contribute to the overall success of our operations.

You will report directly to our Quality Manager, and you'll work out of our Fombell, Pennsylvania location

Position Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections and tests on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products

  • Identify and document non-conformities or deviations from specifications

  • Performs appropriate sample preparation procedures.

  • Performs advanced-level operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and method development of any number of instruments not limited to: LECO O/N, LECO H and LECO C/S.

  • Prioritizes, organizes, and schedules sample workload

  • Ensure that operating supply levels are maintained for designated instruments and equipment.

  • Maintains statistical control measures and initiates appropriate corrective actions.

  • Performs data entry, record keeping, and sample archival.

  • Actively participates in helping to improve the work environment through cleanliness, good housekeeping and adherence to all environmental, health and safety policies.

In October 2024 Honeywell announced the spin-off of our Advanced Materials business to become a stand-alone publicly traded company, independent of Honeywell. Our intention is that this role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, will be a part of this future transaction when the separation occurs

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1+ years of experience in quality inspection or a related field

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformities

  • Valid driver's license

WE VALUE

  • Associate's degree in a technical field

  • Proficient at computer operation, including Microsoft Office

  • At least 18 months of laboratory experience required

  • Experience with quality management systems

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control techniques

  • Strong problem-solving skills

Working Conditions

  • Work overtime as necessary.

  • May require working in a clean room, wearing the appropriate PPE.

  • Must be willing to work in a laboratory environment handling various chemicals and materials.

  • All employees are required to follow established Standard Operating Procedures, SOS and HSE policies.

  • We expect and require every employee to work safely.

  • Personal protective equipment is provided for all employees. Approved Safety glasses, metatarsal boots, and hard hats must be worn in all designated areas. Appropriate cut resistant gloves are required when handling any metal products. Approved protective gloves are required when handling acids or chemicals.

Quality

Each employee is required to comply with the policies and procedures of our Quality Management System. It is the employee's responsibility to identify nonconforming or nonstandard products or materials and wastes in processing or resource usage, initiate continuous improvement ideas, and take the appropriate actions to remediate and/or expedite any of these occurrences.
