To learn more about Berry, visit Responsibilities Job Title: Packer-Inspector Division: Consumer Packaging Division Department: Operations Date: 10/13/2018 Position Reports to: Shift Supervisor Location: Greenville, SC PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, the Packer-Inspector is responsible for the shift activities related to the inspection and final packaging of all finished product at the facility. ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS & DUTIES: ïâ § Follow all safety rules and position SOP?s ïâ §Record keeping and general administrative duties. ïâ § Participation in team activities and team meetings. ïâ § Active participation in problem solving initiatives. ïâ § Able to be trained and to train others. ïâ § Maintenance of cleanliness of plant and facility. ïâ § Advancement in job skills. ïâ § Understanding of all packing and palletizing requirements. ïâ §Lot/label control and finished product. ïâ § Ability to communicate effectively with shift supervisor, operators, and quality technicians. ïâ §Inspection of packaging materials and supplies prior to use. Qualifications KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: ïâ § Able to read and write. ïâ § Pass drug screen, physical, and background check. ïâ § Able to work continuous operation schedule (days/nights/weekends). ïâ § Be available to work a reasonable amount of overtime, if required. ïâ §Ability to read, interpret and perform the physical requirements related to the work instructions. ïâ §Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. ïâ § Able to stand for 11 hours. ïâ § Communication of quality issues to production personnel in a timely manner. ïâ §Previous experience in a manufacturing facility a plus.
