Trains Inspector/Packers to inspect product to identify quality issues and to set aside product that is below quality standards or questionable. Conveys the importance of working closely with Leads and alerting Molding Technician and Supervisor of any quality issues or reject conditions. Watch molds for irregularities or sticking. Timely response to quality issues is key to this position. Trains on the completion of assembly of product by installing gaskets in lids and handles in containers as required while keeping up with the production machines cycles. Flame containers and lids when required. Trains on reading and adhering to the requirement on the job traveler, to include stacking and packing of product on the correct tray and signing off on the label. Trains to prepare proper product identification and/or packaging labels. Assist with material handling and other tasks as needed. When the machine experiences an interruption in production, the Inspector/Packer Trainer will teach the team member to take this available time to clean up oil, sweep, mop, make boxes or other tasks that may be assigned by the team leader or supervisor. Accurately complete any required paperwork, which includes tracking of progress for each assigned new Inspector/Packer. When there is not a new hire to train, the Inspector/Packer Trainer will continue to operate in the full capacity of the Inspector/Packer, while providing training/re-training support to current team members. Miscellaneous duties as assigned. Qualifications Must be able to keep-up with the fast-paced production cycles Must be able to maintain accurate training records and provide appropriate feedback Position requires agility and consistent attention to detail Able to tolerate constant repetition Some workstations may require sitting or standing for long periods of time. Must be able to frequently lift, bend, and reach to perform necessary job functions.
