Job Description As a Hunter Communications Installation Field Manager, you'll directly manage our teams in Southern Oregon. This can include Field Technicians and Field Support Specialists who are responsible for flagging across roadways and the installation, repair, and maintenance of our services into customers' homes and businesses. You'll be responsible for ensuring everyone on the team learns and follows our standard operating procedures correctly and safely. This means you'll often be training our team members on how to perform all their job responsibilities so they can be successful and timely on their route. This role will often have you working outside in a variety of weather in bucket trucks, on poles or ladders, and near roadways. To ensure our teams are successful you'll be performing quality control checks, time in motion surveys, and verifying we're following safety standards. You'll also be responsible for managing the tools, equipment, and vehicle assignments. As their direct supervisor, the technicians will look to you for support, decision making, and problem solving. You have to be comfortable following all local, state, and federal codes and making judgement calls on the best way to proceed with assigned jobs. When not directly supporting the team, you'll be working with other internal departments including: sales, customer service, dispatch, facilities, purchasing, engineering, network operations, and construction. At Hunter, all of these teams work very closely with the installation team to ensure a quick and on-time installation for our customers. You will find yourself working daily in software systems including G Suite, Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and Rev.io. As part of the Installation & Maintenance Team, we work daily around our customers and community, so you'll need to excel at communicating effectively. As our Google Review scores reflect, Hunter Communications is well known for our outstanding customer experience delivered by this team. We believe in making it easy for our customers to do business with us, leading the pack, and standing out through our exceptional installations.
