Hear more about MGT's culture in the words of our employees.WHAT YOU'LL DO:We are currently looking to fill (3) Part-Time Installer Technician positions for our Norcross, Georgia office location. This position will join our current engineering staff to work on existing customer networks to solve their technology issues, as well as, working with our sales team to expand our customer base.In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Lead pre-implementation material processing efforts
    • Document and label networking hardware
    • Assemble hardware elements and subordinate parts (i.e. power supplies, fans, rack assemblages, etc.)
    • Initiate surplus material storage in designated warehouse areas
    • Follow enterprise data management procedures (capture serial numbers, keep running inventories, store documentation in appropriate server locations, etc.
    • Prepare materials for export to work sites
    • Verify correct work order parts for loading
    • Prepare appropriate packing for transport and delivery
    • Ensure correct tools and support parts are included with materials
    • Coordinate material staging in laboratory environment to ensure staging occurs to
    • Standards defined by the engineering department
    • Work with Operations and Project Management personnel to maintain an orderly and efficient warehouse environment
  • Augment implementation teams as needed
    • These efforts will be coordinated through the Project Management Team and will vary according to workloads and demands
    • Should be an independent install team member with no supervision required for basic layer 1 actions (de-install/ replacing switches, patching closets, installing UPS units, installing access points, installing VoIP handsets, etc.)
  • Lead delivery personnel
    • Follow operational standards for material transport and handoff
    • Be able to initiate paperwork process and material correspondence without direction
    • Generate request for packing list
    • Ensure signed packing list is returned to AR within 1 business day of delivery
  • Warehouse Facility Maintenance
    • Daily, ensure all cardboard and trash is removed and disposed of
    • Daily, ensure product is properly stored on designated racks
    • Daily, make sure facility is clean/orderly and all tools are put away
    • Daily, ensure all product processing protocols are followed
    • Watch warehouse when warehouse manager is unavailable
    • Assist warehouse manager in shipping and receiving as needed
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications
  • Exposure/Experience with networking electronics and components
  • Low voltage exposure
  • Experience using power tools and hand tools to assemble small components and perform installations
  • Good communication / customer skills are required
  • Valid drivers license with clear driving history
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Attention to detail
  • BCSI or other low-voltage certification
  • Understanding of ethernet protocols and 568a/b connections (Cat5/6)
  • Understanding of volts and ampere ratings
