Our client has started a Military Transition Program (MTP) where they will be hiring Veterans for Installer and Technician positions in locations across the country.You will start your training in the area you are hired for but at some point, they will have a 2 weeks class, for additional training and on boarding to familiarize candidates not only with the technology they use but to the company culture.They have Installer/Field Service/Service Specialist roles they are looking to hire for.In these roles you will be responsible for installing, programming, system start-up/check-out, certification, and related customer training on assigned Fire, Security, and/or Building Automation projects including small to large projects that vary in complexity. You will be installing and servicing Access Control, CCTV and other security systems on their client's sites.This location is currently hiring Technicians who will need to use their electronic troubleshooting and repair skills to install and integrate systems; you will need to show you can troubleshoot and repair electronic systems. You will also need to show you can assist in delivering assigned projects effectively and within budgeted cost and time schedules.At times, you may need to act as a key interface for technical support with the customer, training them on the installed systems and maximizing customer satisfaction, so communication and customer service skills are important for this role. The key things they are looking for in this role are strong low voltage electronic system troubleshooting and repair experience to go along with networking experience as you will be integrating systems.On top of this, they emphasized that you would need to show you are a problem solver who is a self-starter who can work independently and takes initiative, has energy and excitement to be in this industry. They have 2 roles, and they are not looking for anyone with industry experience for either of them. They just want someone with low voltage electronics experience who is willing to learn and be mentored by an experience technician. They also want someone with drive who can eventually work autonomously and fits their culture well.One is based out of the Wilmington and Newark DE area. They have one main customer in this area with 12 locations and a few other customers. There is one seasoned tech working this area who is looking to retire soon, and they want to bring someone in who can learn from him and eventually handle this are and help with the growth they expect here. This position gets a company vehicle and pay is in the $25 - $30/hour range.The 2nd role will be based out of Manhattan (preferably) or one of the 5 boroughs of NY. There is one major client, a hospital and you will spend most of your time there but at times you will visit other clients in the 5 boroughs.You will also train with a seasoned tech who is embedded in this hospital and eventually, take over for him. They need someone who can live in the city and be able to take the subway to this hospital or another client and be there ASAP. This position does not get a vehicle and the pay is $30 - $35/hour.Full comprehensive benefits.
